Cornelius Stiefenhofer will talk about his practice curating international art projects in Norway and Northwest Russia; showcasing previous, on-going and upcoming projects in Russia and Northern Scandinavia. In his lecture, Cornelius Stiefenhofer will share his on-hand curatorial experience, reflect upon individual motivations for curating cross-cultural projects and discuss approaches and strategies for developing curatorial positions.

Cornelius Stiefenhofer works as an artist and curator between Tromsø and Arkhangelsk. In 2011, he started working on international cultural projects in Arkhangelsk. Cornelius Stiefenhofer has organized a variety of cultural and artistic projects in Northwest Russia, including residencies, exhibitions, conferences, festivals and video programs. He is one of the initiators of the Arkhangelsk Artist in Residence program, which places the focus on non-institutional, practices of arts education as well as on the internationalization of the local and regional art scene.
